Will "modem-on-hold" work with V.90 modems ?
No. Modem-on-hold is a new feature specific to the V.92 modem standard. It will not work with V.90 modems.

Note that some V.90 modems are upgradeable to V.92 with a simple software upgrade. You should visit the web site of your modem manufacturer to see if an upgrade is available.
