Will V.92 increase download speeds ?
No. The V.92 standard uses basically the same download speed levels than V.90. The speed is still constrained to 56 Kbps and the range is usually from 42 to 53 Kbps when calling from a typical residential analog phone line.

Some customers have reported nominally higher download speeds using V.92 but these appear to be the result of using updated modem sofwtare more than a difference between V.90 and V.92 download speeds.
