There are several possible reasons why your antivirus program is not detecting the virus. One is that it is using outdated virus definitions or outdated scan software. New viruses are found on a weekly basis so using old virus definitions or scan software is not an effective means of protection. Another possibility is that the nature of the virus requires manual steps to remove it. You should contact your antivirus software vendor for assistance with the update
